Parkinson’s Disease is a neurodegenerative disorder that affects the central nervous system, impacting both motor and non-motor functions of the body.
Symptoms typically develop gradually and as the disease advances, non-motor symptoms become increasingly prevalent. Common symptoms encompass tremors, movement slowness, stiffness, and balance issues, referred to collectively as parkinsonism.
In later stages, complications such as dementia, falls, sleep disturbances, psychosis, mood fluctuations, or behavioural changes may occur.
